Almost a few times, but I've never really been on any top bunks much in my life.

Have you ever attached a jumper cable to your nipple?

This past weekend I saw Weird Al performing at the Orange County Fair. He was AMAZING. Seriously, he's up there in my top concerts of all time.

He brought out Stormtroopers, a Vader, and he and his band dressed as Jedi for "Saga Begins" and "Yoda."

Next weekend I'll be out of town, in San Diego, for the ultimate convention--Comic-Con. I'll be down there with Zabuza.

Honestly, I have nightmares about missing this convention. It's one of the greatest highlights of my year.

You all be good now.

You had me worried for a minute there.

Seriously, stress can destroy you completely and utterly. Up until I got my period earlier this month, I'd missed it 3 months in a row. Despite not showing any signs and being pretty sure that I was safe every time, I was sweating buckets.

Enough about my shit, I second Elara's comment. Your family it nutzo.

Yeah, here the equivalent to chavs are people like Kevin Federline or something of the like. Usually rednecky-people who try to act black (pardon the offensive-sounding overtones, but even one of the other synonyms for "chavs" here in the States is "wiggers"). I've heard some call them Burberry, but I thought that was something of a respected brand name.

It's wonderful to have standards really. Wouldn't want you pratting about with any societal dregs, would we?

Best of you luck to you, romantically-speaking.

Well I did mark the title, so it's not like I was trying to ruin it for people who'd come in unsuspectingly.

Unlike Makura... that's HILARIOUS.

OK, this is beyond awesome for a coincidence (it's up there with going to Halloween Haunt during a red harvest moon)--the weekend that Stardust opens, there's going to be a HUGE meteor shower.

I guess I'll just go with my favorite since I was a really little kid.

Orca whales, also known as "killer whales."

They're pretty much the wolves of the seas, being intelligent, travel in packs and have a hierarchy-like system that greatly resembles what Pockets described about wolves.

I've just always loved everything about the ocean and Orcas were among my favorite things. And no, not just because I liked Shamu as a kid.

I also have a thing for birds. Maybe because I've always raised them and sometimes ponder on what it would be like to be one.

Yeah, Stephen Lynch is pretty awesome. My favorite of his is Priest.

He recently just got done playing Robbie in a stage version of The Wedding Singer.

I'm actually quite excited about this. It's one of my favorite comics and, seriously, I think the ending of this last season of Heroes derived a lot of its material from Watchmen.

To be honest I was a bit apprehensive considering how butchered many comics have been when translated to film, but after seeing 300 and how much justice Snyder did for Frank Miller I have gained much faith in this project.

P.S. Rorschach is my favorite character.

Here's a photo I took at Comic-Con this weekend of one of (my idea of) the best cosplayers:
Rorschach

EDIT NOTE: I'd been trying to post this all of last night, but for some reason it kept saying the server was down.

OK, don't hate me....

I saw it this weekend...

With Neil Gaiman sitting 3 feet away from me...

And I got to ask him a couple questions...

And got a signed poster from him.

*Runs away as fast as her chubby legs can carry her to escape the extreme smiting she's due for*

In regards to the film, it's really good and beautiful and lovely as a movie, though it has many, many differences from the book (which are not bad, but I'm just pointing them out if you have read the book). Namely the ending is COMPLETELY different (No, I will not spoil it).

Captain Shakespeare's part has so much just added to it, but it's all welcome additions. There's no hairy man and Tristran's name (through a clerical error on one of the writer's parts as Neil pointed out) became Tristan.

Neil mentioned that comparing the movie and the book would be like comparing Earth I to Earth II. I adore it.

I like Captain Morgan's Tattoo, but lately I've just been drinking straight rum.

Try Sailor Jerry's. It's AWESOME.

In regards to the original question, before I turned 21 (our legal age in the U.S., specifically in California), I could drink ANYTHING and be completely fine. I'd never had to throw up, never had a hangover, I mixed drinks, drank too much and never had any problems. I'd only been buzzed a couple of times and maybe slurred one word in my life at that point.

However, once I hit legality it seemed my constitution went to shit. Not that I get drunk, but my stomach just really hurts (as though I'm drinking on an empty stomach).

It seems my drink of choice is also rum (and beer off and on). One night I had finished the equivalent of a bottle and a quarter, at a friend's party. There was Cap'n Morgan's. There was Tattoo, Private Reserve, and of course the bottle of Sailor Jerry's I'd brought. I don't drink near so much any more.

The only times I ever really take to drinking are probably for social gatherings with close friends and, of course, Oktoberfest. Doing the Chicken Dance buzzed and giddy is SOOOOOO much fun. Especially while dancing with your liter stein.

Fred Perry? I seriously just met him a couple days ago at Comic-Con. I bought a few copies of his Pirates vs. Ninjas comics and he signed them. Nice guy.

I remember seeing this on the board before, but didn't know Perry did it. Cool.

I had brain surgery this weekend. Go me.

Holy shit! Go you indeed.

This past weekend was Comic-Con down in San Diego. Went with Zabuza and our friend Bernie. Hung out with my friend Gina and her son, Conner, while down there as well.

Shit I did and saw (my apologies if it sounds like bragging, but when going to Comic-Con you see A LOT and get really excited about it):
- Saw Stardust, which Neil Gaiman did a Q&A after. I was sitting 3 feet away from him the whole time. Asked him about the meteor shower coincidence and got a signed poster. I went to two different panels where Neil Gaiman came out to talk about his projects.
- Saw a few preview scenes for Neil's other film project, Beowulf, in 3D (actually it was something they call Real-D).
- Was stuck with Jhonen Vasquez waiting for a really long freight train to go by after we came out of the Spike and Mike Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation gauntlet.
- Went to the big Heroes panel where they showed the sneak preview of next season (lots of spoilers) and Kevin Smith came out as a surprise since it was announced just then that he would be working on the Heroes Origins spin-off.
- Was at the Futurama panel discussing the show's return (only 16 episodes). Before the panel, the audience was given these little comic books that explained the show's cancellation and triumphant return. As a treat for the fans, all of the voice actors read through the comic book in their characters' voices.
- Saw the pilot episodes for Bionic Woman and The Sarah Conner Chronicles. Both were a bit cheesy, but sci-fi can be that way sometimes.
- Saw Joss Whedon again.
- Was at the Battlestar Galactica panel when Lucy Lawless came out as a surprise saying she would be returning to the show.
- Went to a few of the movies in the film festival and completely fell in love with this Star Trek buddy picture called "Orion Slave Girls Must Die!!"
- Got my copy of Battle Pope #1 signed by Robert Kirkman, my PvP books signed by Scott Kurtz, a few of my 100 Bullets books signed by Brian Azzarello, my Wizard World L.A. exclusive Hellboy #1 signed by Mike Mignola, and a Machete poster signed by Danny Trejo.
- Took pictures of tons of cosplayers, but one of the best was this booth babe who really had one leg who dressed as Cherry from "Grindhouse."
Cherry
- At the Paramount Pictures panel, they had a satellite hook-up with the Indiana Jones 4 set and Harrison Ford, Spielberg, and Karen Allen (Marion Ravenwood), Neil Gaiman came out to talk on Stardust and Beowulf, J.J. Abrams discussed his secret (and currently unnamed project) that has cryptic trailers out for it, and Joe Favreau did his thing for Iron Man, and the finale of it all was the announcement that Zachary Quinto would be playing Spock in the next Star Trek movie and Nimoy would also be in it as old Spock.

I missed my period in May and June.

It came the day after Anime Expo (early July). HUGE relief.

Then it came again the day after Comic-Con (a couple days ago). Worst fucking cramps I've ever had in my life. So crippling in fact that I've been having trouble walking straight since the period started.

Okay, I get it--it was all because of stress. DID IT HAVE TO HIT ME TWICE FOR JULY?!?!

At Comic-Con this past weekend, Paramount did a preview where they showed two trailers and a few scenes (from when Beowulf defeats Grendel to right after his encounter with Grendel's mother). All of them in "Real-D" which is pretty much 3D.

It's AWESOME.

Apparently it's really a live action film that they touched up (hence why it looks like it's completely CG'd but looks just like the actors). Reminds me a lot of Scanner Darkly.

Anyway, Neil Gaiman and Brian Froud wrote it and for a retelling, it's amazing.
