I spent most of last week in San Diego where it was averaging high 90s temperatures and when I got back into town, it wasn't much better.

I hit mid-90s since that would probably be the average I've been going through lately. It's flippin' hot in my room at night and this weather has been hell on my lungs. I keep waking up coughing and it never seems to stop.

I just saw the teaser trailer on G4 (which is a feat since I rarely watch G4 by choice) and my am I excited.

I adored the original cartoon and movies. They were my heroes every morning before school started.

Yes, it was originally a comic book. It was created as a parody of Marvel's New Mutants and another series which featured ninjas (espeically since ninjas were the fad at the time). The guys who made it didn't realize the success they had in their hands. After discovering that their friends were really into it, they decided to take it to a publishing company.

Anyway, looks like they made Michaelangelo even more of a comic relief, which is all good. He always was my favorite.

I'm not quite sure on the authenticity, especially since this almost reeks of rumor, but here's the article. Discuss.

Still unclear on if he took the part or not.

It's definite that the next sequel will concentrate on The Joker and they're already throwing names around such as Steve Buscemi - Robin Williams - Lachy Hulme -Alexis Denisof – and Mark Hamill.

We were first to tell the world that Brandon Routh was going to be the new Superman. Now here we are at it again as we just got word from A VERY TRUSTED SOURCE that the offer last night was officially made to Heath Ledger to star as The Joker in the Batman Begins Sequel! As Ari Gold on HBO'S Entourage would say: Heath Motherfuckin' Brokeback The Joker Ledger!

Stay further tuned to Latinoreview as this story further develops.

Hasta el proximo capitulo...

Okay, honestly, someone please explain to me why this show is supposedly "one of the greatest shows of our time."

I've seen a few minutes of episodes here and there, but I still can't understand why geeks are going nuts for it.

At Comic-Con this past weekend, a few of the actors made an appearance and so many people were mobbing the booth to get a glimpse of them. After inquiring from someone as to who these people were and receiving an answer, I just said, "You mean they're from Gilligan's Island on drama steroids? Who cares?" and walked away after making a mix of people either very pissed or laugh their asses off.

I read into the origin of the series and saw that the creator simply watched Tom Hanks' Cast Away and expanded it for a group of people.

Can anyone, especially any of the fans here on the board, tell me why there's such a draw for non-reality Survivor?

Heh, I never actually have seen rain yet. I was in San Diego while it was raining up here, but as we were leaving San Diego, it was starting to drizzle. Jeez, man. Can't catch a break.

While down there, the mini-van we were renting had a thermometer. According to Zabuza, there were times, while sitting in the shade, he noticed it read 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

It was pretty damned hot down there, and you had people running around in thick costumes who were trying not to complain. Bless those people who keep fandoms alive.

Here's the teaser I saw:

Does anyone remember the live action TV series that was on FOX very briefly? They even introduced a female turtle whoe the guys named Venus. I thought it was good, but then again I tend to like a lot of things no matter how crappy they might be, if they apply to my fandom.

I've never seen this before, probably because I don't have cable or watch television much any more.

Like WhiteRose said, this looks like something I could see myself, or at least some I know, making. I don't know why.

I found this video at random.

There are several arguments that the person holding the camera is harming the cat, while others are insisting that if the cat were hurt, it would lash out.

I dunno. Could this be a seizure?

As mentioned above, I, and many others, are going back on the 21st of next month.

That's actually slightly more generous that usual, but then we got out at the very tail-end of May.

In California, college school years typically start in mid-August and end in mid-May. High schools, middle schools, and elementary schools start in early to mid-September and get out mid-June.

I think people who base their ideas that we need a revolution from watching V for Vendetta need to be kicked.

Revolution doesn't happen in the fantastical way it's portrayed in movies. The innocent aren't just magically safe for the terrorism of radicals. Innocent will die, more likely a greater majority more than those who the radicals might feel need to be killed to evoke change in our society.

That movie takes bigger society problems and answers them with a simple, Hollywood answer of blowing things up and somehow subterfuging one's way to getting the head honcho axed.

And ugh... MySpace being used as a political tool? I'm steering clear of that statement. Sure, it's well-peopled, but... you know, nevermind.

In the end, my thought is that this country does need to undergo some changes, but nothing that a war should be started over. I don't care how much people will argue that violence is the only way to get a point across. Please take a page from Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Henry David Thoreau.

Well after looking around a bit, a few sites who usually have all their facts right are referencing this article as fact, but are saying that they are holding for confirmation.

Looking over the movie's IMDb.com entry, aside from Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Gordon and Lucius Fox, everything is still up in the air, including the name.

No guarantees, but people in the forums are already arguing (to the death, it seems) over who they feel should be Joker.

Mark Hamill would be an amusing choice, but more of a novelty to people who've watched the cartoons. He is an excellent character actor, that Cock Knocker.

If I remember correctly, Man-Faye was on there and said that his super power was his hairy ass.

He used to be cool, but he's become ridiculously obsessed with himself since I first saw him, several AXs ago. He's almost insufferable now.

Anyway, I still need to see this show. There were many promotionals for it at Comic-Con this year.

Yeah, this is a real movie...

They had a whole lot for it at Comic-Con this year. According to the professionals in the booth for it, Samuel L. Jackson was handed the script with the working title, "Snakes on a Plane." He asked if there was any intention of changing the name, and the guys who offered him the part said it was simply temporary and were planning on changing the name to "Flight 105" or something like that. To this Samuel said that were they to change the name, he would walk. So it's stayed that way ever since.

Just goes to show the kind of sway he has in Hollywood. Hell, he broke George Lucas' cardinal rule of light sabers by getting a purple one as opposed to red, blue or green.

Anyway, the movie is an action/thriller about an assassin releasing snakes onto a plane to take out a target and Jackson happens to be a government agent on the plane.

*Rogue, while ransacking the complimentary food table, looks up from her cream cheese-smothered bagel upon hearing her curtain call, drops the bagel which lands smothered-side down as usual, and starts running for the set. She notices the bagel on the floor, utters a quiet "Fuck!" to herself and points at it as it disappears in a sudden spark of light.

Wisps of smoke rise from the carpet in the crater that was left on the floor.
*

Argh!

*Before she can douse the burn spot with a nearby bucket of ice, she hears her name called again as all of the assistants and tech personnel backstage start gesturing for her to head out there toot sweet. Rogue, in mid-motion with the bucket and being the scatter brain that she is, drops the bucket, landing a few feet from the crater and bolts for the stage again, not noticing that more smoke begins to rise from the hole in the carpet.*

I'm coming! I'm coming! *She yells to each of the stage crew and Vulkar and WhiteRose as she hurriedly dashes for the set.*

*Without thinking, she launches into the air, flying toward her destination, bursting through walls in her path. She often does this when hurried or stressed. Her brain goes into auto-pilot, this time set to "Fighting the Evil Brotherhood with Sentinels thrown in for good measure" mode. Between each wall, she punches out anyone who looks like they've become embittered with life and appear ready to fight, namely any techies she comes across.

Finally Rogue finds herself on the set in shoto-kan sparring stance, covered in drywall dust, a series of aligned holes in the walls behind her with angry-looking techies, crew, producers, guests and other such people staring at the gaping holes in the walls and shaking their fists at her.
*

Oopsie...

*She tightly shuts her eyes and the walls are re-built in the space of a blink.

She goes to sit in one of the chairs Vulkar has provided and perches herself next to WhiteRose.
*

Hey there! Glad to be here. *She starts dusting off the drywall and rubble remnants from her coat, skirt, and hair.*

Thanks for having me. *She grins awkwardly.*
