| Okay...i know i said that trip reports based on pot were terrible.
But the hell with it. Besides..this is funny. The other night, i decide to head to a friends house after work. Naturally..everyone i know in this town (recently moved here) smokes. Let me tell you..lack of weed was getting damned irritating. Anyway..lets do a bit of fast-forwarding. About..five bowls worth. I'm stoned. Very stoned. For those of you unaware, cannabis is not always a "light" drug. KB (or rather, 'round these parts Krippy) is weed of "high" quality (pun intended). Smoke enough of it, and you go from stoned right to "Holy shit". I was staring Holy Shit right in the face. After a few YEARS of not smoking anything close to that quality, i was eight different kinds of gone. Then i realize that it's 2:30 am. Okay..time to head off. Whoops..i'm riding a bycicle. Whoops..no lights. Whoops..i've completely forgot how to get home. So here i am, wearing a black shirt and black jeans, riding home at almost 3 am on a bike without lights. Thankfully, the roads were dead. I pass the local high school. I don't remember passing it on the way up. I suddenly realize that i have absolutely no fucking idea where i am. It was actually quite funny at the time. I keep going. "Hell..if i'm going the wrong way, i'll wind up somewhere." Then, as if appearing from a magical fog (once again..pun intended) i see my sub-division. I ride right on in..only to see a community center and a giant lighted stone sign. I've never seen the place before. In my life. I ride out and look at the enterance. The name is right..the look is right..but it is not my neighborhood. This was actually kind of upsetting. But i was still enjoying the ride (do i have to say it?). I back up..keep going. I see another identical sign twenty minutes later..and the road winds the right way. NOW it seems funny as hell. I finally find my neighborhood. And then i realise how good a bottle of pepsi sounds. The hell with it..off to 7-11. I get halfway there and i realize: There has not been a single time i have passed that 7-11 at 2:30 am without seeing at least two cop cars parked in the lot. I won't go too much into detail as to why i decided against it..but i WILL say that it was some very decent bud. And i had some money to spare. Back home i go. I somehow manage to get into the house after finding my keys. I wander in..find my room..and pass out. Once again..for those of you who don't know, consuming a large quantity of THC without having it your system beforehand can cause...lasting effects. I was FAR from baseline when i woke up the next day. At 9 am. Then i went into work. Oh dear god..that was an incredible sandwich. |

I was a tad upset..now i'm not. That simple. We will definately get a fight going sooner or later..and thanks. Des...i had five attacks planned and waiting after my last post. Some of them were simply old ones i haven't used in a while. I was playing with a few semi-forgotten toys..and that's all. I was going to keep tossing interesting things out for you to seal for a few posts, then break out a few Wave Flux techniques. Mainly Spacial Distortion. Yeah...what you saw was significantly less than 1%. "trust me, I would have said in the next post you broke the post limit anyway and then notified Leon or someone else" Given my situation..well..i'm not going to get irritated. I'll simply say that you will see significantly more than 1% next time. |

| First..remove ranged weapons. If the first arrow misses..you won't be firing another.
Second..i suggest allowing passive powers only. No active magic. By passive i mean natural traits..strength of a demon, speed of an elf, so on..as well as "basic" abilities that cannot be used directly for attack/defense. Aside from that..i love the idea. Save for the time limit..*Grumbles* As far as being unable to win without powers... The greatest RPer i have ever seen, the one man i honestly believed i could not defeat at the time, used an average human swordsman. Trust me..weapon-only fights end quickly. Edit: Why not toss a "No armor" rule in there too. Melee only..random weapon..no protection. However..be sure to take balance into account when issuing weapons. Looks like i've missed a lot of...pointless drama. Interesting... Fucking work. It's a shame i couldn't stay within the time limit..a few people need to be taught some humility. Leon..sorry to see that you were DQed. I had imagined either you or Elyk would take the title. As it is now..my personal prediction is a final match between Elyk and Cyro. |

I'll be using Levitreis..Night's "Human" form. Fair warning to all - while my speciality is blades (of any kind), i'm rather mean with any weapon. Edit for questions: 1: Will physical attacks be allowed (a punch, for example) or not? I assume not, but.. 2: Considering the fact that YOU are running the tourny i really don't need to ask this, but could you be as descriptive about the issued weapons as possible. Anyone familiar with armed combat outside of RP will know the point of this question...for those who are not: Let's say that you are issued a Rapier. An uneducated opponent could easily mistake this for something akin to a fencing foil (highly flexible blade, no cutting edge, so on). Unfortunately, most of my recently earned funds have been..diverted to family needs. Namely, bills. So this may be put on hold until the crisis passes. When i have ahold of some cash again, i'll rip my television set from the hands of a screaming family member and proceed. |

| Yep. An actual challenge. I'm going to have some free time now that my hours have been reduced (again), so..what the hell.
Rules: All board rules apply save for one, but with some slight alterations. First off..absolutely no time limit. Post when you have the free time. If i see you make 10 posts without replying to this, i'll smack you silly..otherwise, no restrictions. Second..healing. No instant/major healing..minor regeneration of small wounds through natural ability/technology/equipment will be allowed..but no sealing a massive wound in three posts. Finally..Kai's new "effect" rule will be in partial play. Massive spells/summons will have a negative drain without charge unles you have one hell of a logical reason otherwise. Of course, massive may vary from character to character..just don't go insanely overboard. Now..anyone who was itching to fight me in the past (or is presently experiencing said itch) may apply. First taker gets first post/scenery. Oh..talent is a must. A two-sentence poorly worded non-descriptive post will simply be ignored. |

Taking into account the fact that english is not his first language, Beo demonstrated slightly better writing skill. However..Desroth's last attack was perhaps the most innovative of the battle. I'd call it something of a stalemate without seeing Beo's reply to the attack. I think THAT would have given a very clear victor. As it is..i was impressed reading both of your posts. Good show boys. |

To the right of Cairoi. no farther from the man than perhaps three feet, the thinker stood. Cairoi...the Gaia of that pitiful planet had hummed tales of him even before the being had set foot on her. Odd, really...that a world would draw a creature such as he to its champion. Mortal minds... He circled slowly to the left, insubstantial feet echoing nothing but silence. Sound was often but a memory in the between..a place where two planes almost met. It was here he could see without being seen..feel without being felt. The cloak of shadows..midnight cloth that covered him from head to toe..was, for once, in motion. It rippled smoothly, pulsed with the energy that held him there. A demon..a god..born of nothing, bane of all. The being known simply as Night stood. And watched. His soon to be foe was hardly a normal man..but then, these days who was? Pupils algo with green light..a forest-green shirt..the protruding hilt of a hidden blade..no. Not a normal man. After all..he was Gaia's champion. A man with the strength of the earth. But really..what was one planet? Or even the power of one? He had felt creatures exude more power in Uggarv..yet he was a champion. We both know full well that he's internalized it, Night. That is hardly the power of a world. You can't let me gloat in peace, can you Auraka. Yes yes, the child is undoubtedly strong. Pleased? His focus went back to Cairoi. Black jacket..green eyes..yes, strong. If not for the blade, he may have mistaken him for a Turk. But still... Enough musing. Shall we, Auraka? What..you've finished? Good. Let us. From the between he stepped, from pale, faded hues to light. He appeared to Cairoi's left..or rather, was. He did not come into being, fade into existance like a phantom with new life. Instead, he simply was. Addressing Cairoi be the propor thing to do..and in a way, he did. He slowly reached his right hand towards one of the many towering trees and rested a palm clad in goldem metal against it's bark. "They call your name, you know. He tilted his enshrouded head as if listening. "Cairoi.." he whispered. His grip on the oak tightened, omniously strong fingers digging into ancient wood. From above, a single leaf fell, twirling slowly in a lazy spiral towards the ground. It stood in releaf, as if frozen in time..and then the rest joined it. In a rain of green and hazel the tree gave up it's shaded canopy..and blackened as if aflame. It spread quickly, from base to the smallest branch as its energy..its "soul"..was drawn free. Or rather, ripped. It took no more than two seconds for the mighty tree to succumb..and the blink of an eye for the breeze to break it apart in a cloud of fine ash. Night pulled his hand away and extended a "gift" towards the seated Cairoi. Where once is palm had rested on the oak, it now bore a ball of gleaming light in it's palm. The sound it emitted was low, filled with terror and pain. "Cair---" The sound died away when he closed his fist, the once-soul erupting from between his fingers in beams of bright, somehow twisted light. "Questions?" He paused for a split second, then continued. "Fine then." The darkness beneath his hood gave way to new light: Two points of brilliant electric blue. The glow of power..blue against Cairoi's green. And it was only right..after all, he himself was far from normal. And a man. "Let's begin." With those words he became nothing but a blur of black, another shadow among the masses. Then he stood behind his foe, a longsword of translucient blue crystal held loosly in his right hand. A sword with an angular, pointing hilt and a diamond-cut pommel. A sword that had been brought to life..and aimed at Cairoi's stomache. {OOC: The appearance of the sword will be explained shortly. Yes, i neglected the usual "Hello, how do you do, i am, you are, shall we fight now?". This seemed more interesting. The only things you need to know about the sword right now is that is is doubled-edged with a single bevel (imagine the edge on a piece of broken glass.
