| eh...if your body is is a mix of energy in a semi liquid form...that can focus to become solid when you want..I dont think you have to worry. But that really woudnt be human any longer now would it? (Last edited by Elyk X on 09-11-05 01:19 AM) |

Elyk felt the ground shake...and the air turn colder, much colder. His nose felt quite chilly as his face was the only part of him not covered. But it wasn't like he never fought in an artic region before. But it still was strange, there jade was up above the arena...chanting with the ground shaking and it becoming quite cold. Elyk has only one choice to make in his movements and really it was gonna be what he would do in the first place with her up there. He is coming up there to take the fight to her. With great force Elyk literaly swings "Death" off his shoulder and smashes it hard into the ground. The force of which is focused on the fact he leaps slightly into the air with his legs, letting the force of the downward smash do the rest. Elyk lauches himself into the air moving right at Jade, in midway he does a flip to gain more momentum in his attack. As he gets near her once again his sword Death is swung downward with his own strenght and the extra momentim from his spin in mid air. He aims his attack right at the middle of her head and keeps his other sword "hope" to his side in preperation for a counter attack. The move is quite risky, but that is Elyks style...offense out of defense. If she moves to either side, there is a slight chance he could nick her wings. If she slides back in mid air, he is still moving towards her. If she dodges down the chance that his swing down could hit her head. If she dodges by raising up his momentium would most likely carry him into the crowd...and he hates people. |

Elyks body is sent backwards, but the colliding force of his momentum and her gale winds did not send him just straight back...no there was a slight pause then he starts to fall backwards arching his back to flip around. The Ice spell it seems was already on its way and with sheer reaction time Elyk literally stabs into one of the shards near the tip with Hope, his body now fully flipping over and landing on the side of the shard. Around him are other shards as he feels the cold start to seep through his outfit. Quickly he pulls himself up enough to get somewhat of a foothold but mostly standing due to his left arm pulling him up with the sword as leverage. He smiles up at jade and nods his head. "Alright, you pass. That was very impressive Jade...got any other qualities that are impressive besides in battle?" Sure it could be seen as odd, that he spouts out such a crude joke but after all, he hasnt met many women with such battle abilities. "You are worthy after all...but it is time for phase two.. All you need to do...is survive..." His breath deepens as can be seen by the frostyness coming out of his nose and mouth. HIs eyes grow wide...and start to glow a deeper green. Suddenly his hands starts to sizzle as if burning touching the handles. He lets go...and strangely he does not start to fall backwards onto the ice shards, instead he floats there, and even rises up. Twirling up into the air he comes to a stop facing her, hovering there above the arena level to her. Out of his back form green translucent angel wings shimmering much like his eyes. They do not flap...but are obviously what is keeping him up in the air. Likewise now his swords do no drop, but hover up to his sides, hovering just an inch from his shoulders with the blade pointing down. Death on his right, and Hope on his left. He just stares at Jade and smiles, as his breathing increases just a bit more. He does not attack, but rather something odd starts to happen to the crowd below them. The ones that died from Jades attack start to emit a green energylike tendrils from their body much like Elyks eyes and wings. The tendrils starts to swirl around the arena where they where liberated then suddenly "splash" down onto the arena floor covering the entire bottom of it with a good two to three inch thick liquid lifestream. The Stream starts to eat away at the ice structures quickly to disolve them. |

Elyk makes more "comments", but right after his words his two swords fly from his sides in an outward arch. They start to spin at a fast rate horizontally as they make their way around to come at Jade from her left and right trying to cleave her in half. When the fast moving "blades" doing this, Elyk suddenly sends his wings forward much like what Jade did to him earlier, but instead of sending out wind Elyk sends out multiple "energy feathers" that move straight at Jades front. The Energy Feather are razor sharp and when they impale something they explode in a strange way. Instead of exploding like a bomb would...it sets off miniture ultima spells. "pocket ultima" if you will, The area of effect is much smaller only about a foot, but in that foot area it burns with non-elemental magical energy. Of course it isn't the same ultima spell that his materia can produce, it just looks like it somewhat and Elyk had to name it something. He knows she can't keep moving up to dodge, and dodgeing right or left is out of the question, as is backwards. After the attacks were sent out his wings move back up quickly to their postion and Elyk coughs again, his right hand moves up to his nose and whipes a small amount of blood trickling from it. "I hate these damn wings. Conflicting with the Deus Energy System...puts my body through hell..." (ah..if you didnt know the italics are "thoughts") |

| eh...ive barely done anything and im already being picked for a final..>.>
Dont jinx me or anything... Anyway, when i get off work(on my lunch hour right now) I will be going to St. Louis to see my grandmother. I might be back sat night...or sunday. So I might be cutting it close to the DQ time. Just giving you a heads up. |

| Jade was nowhere near his attacks...just as Elyk had predicted. The swords swept in and through just in time to let his "feathers" fly past and into a wall giving off quite a light show. Instantly his swords start to head back towards him. But really it was just a cover for his real purpose. All it had to do is send Jade moving towards the ground more...and she has.
As soon as she dives...the "liquid" below, the pure lifestream energy surges up in three long spikes that hurl upwards in her path. The spikes have solidified at the tips, and move at different angles. One obviously heading upwards right where her dive started, the second right in the middle of the arena, and the third right under where Elyk was. She could most likely avoid them, but in doing so would delay any sort of attack long enough for Elyk to respond. So if the attack still goes off from her, Elyks sword are already at his sides. Seeing the black lighting the swords turn to act as a sheild to absorb the hit as Elyk makes a dash to the very top row of the crowds seats. Landing there he coughs up a bit of blood, and decides to hold off on using his wings anymore as they decend back down into his back. When this happens the long spikes of lifestream lose their solidity and collapse back down onto the floor in a liquid pool mess. His swords after acting as a sheild, Death would stay high above the arena hovering there, as hope would come back and hover to his left side. "Hehe... You know...I just had a thought. Instead of fighting in my army, How about after i win I turn you into the SOLDIERS comfort woman?" Elyks head game continues just a bit more as he stands up next to some helpless twittering scared boob in the audiance. He then takes off his long grey coat, revealing his "armor" underneath it. Black metalic shoulder covers, with a blue metallic chest peice that is strangly form fitting and flexable...it is his Mystile X. |

| LMAO...i didnt even read the rules here cause I didnt even see where they were at.
Tis funny...but I almost broke that no healing rule considering I didnt know about it. Instead of wall, i was gonna cast regen >.> Which slowly heals over time. I kinda find it very limiting considering that i have a cure materia and all...>.> oh..and the final attack = Life 2, final attack = altima combo i guess is out to. = |

Obviously the area of her energy did not reach elyk as he was all the way across the entire arena. ALthough he wishes he was closer...as the energy would have healed him. But none the less he had gotten what he wanted...her to use what she could really do. At any rate he starts to walk back down towards the arena ground..very slowly. He uses the time to gather up how damaged his insides are...and relizes that he can still fight well...especially since the wings are not out and the certian fact he still hasn't used.."that". "Maybe I was hasty...Maybe Instead of my troops, I will just keep you for myself!" Elyk lets go of his sword hope and lets it start to hover at his side. The already floating sword Death up above starts to decend back to him as he then sends out Hope to slash at her spinning like a disk. Like a good vetern he is feeling out her newfound anger to see what she does. Not pressing the attack...but waiting to react to what she does. |

| The sword was sent back at him stopping right in front of him, turning so the blade is pointed up and floats slowly to his left side by his arm. The handle near the back of his hand which seemed to move the sword with its movements. He made his way taking the last step into the arena floor and smiled at her words.
"Silly girl.. Maiden of Discord? Surely you could have came up with a better name than that. Discord?..I mean.. It doesn't take much to cause discord in anything, someone could sneeze and cause discord." Death, the sword now hovering at his right side did the same as hope, turning so the blade is pointed up and hovering along his arm. 'Tire myself out? Haha...That little trick with the wings is something I use to make the enemy think I powered up. When in all reality its just some little stupid trick i was born with that I hate. My true power comes not from the lifestream...But from the Deus Energy System. Hehe... Trying to match you... haha.. You mean controling the pace? You have much to learn, and I shall teach you!" At the end of his sentace Elyk starts to run at her, his arms moving like he is running normally, the blades of his swords moving with them at his side. As he does, his body glows with a green aura and his eyes glow with the mako energy in him. Yes...he is still holding back his true power, as he wants to save the surprise for "later" matches. As what he can do now is more than enough to take her. The aura fades from him as a large comet forms above their heads high into the arena. The comet is farely large about the size of a car. Elyk sends out Death to fly at her once again at a far greater speed than what was seen before. The comet starts to fall quickly towards Jade, but suddenly stops as "Hope" literally flies up into its path and impales the large comet. Elyk running leaps into the air, grabbing Hope with both handles. THe sword glows brightly charging the comet with Holy ether. Suddenly ether kicks in to propel Elyk at an angle right towards Jade. As he nears the ground he swings his sword over his head in a downward slash, sending the Comet down at her...and the ground. If it hits her...or anything at that matter the chunks of the Holy ether charged comet will fly everywhere doing holy damage to whatever it hits. The attack a mixture of materia magic...and ether produced by the Deus Energy System. (EDIT:just added a rough estimate at the size of the comet) (Last edited by Elyk X on 09-21-05 06:49 PM) |

Its just the nature of the mixed attack...once it hits anything it will shatter to send out chunks. Also...the comet does not have an holy aura around it. The holy ether was fused into it charging it. The entire "rock" now has a holy element in it. So...there is no aura to disapate o.0 I could just make my post based on these facts....and nail you...but I'll be nice and let ya rework what you want to do. |

| (OOC: actually....holy hurts "negative"...as you explained to me what it was...and Negative hurts holy..... but at any rate i think our time limit is up. But ...as for dealing with your..."sword"...)
As her sword moves intending to hit Elyk she must have forgot that Elyks swords blade was inside the comet. As the sword was coming towards him his was already under her attack due to his downward swing. As he showed his nature through the fight...the sword can be moved without his arms anyway...so moving the huge sword like this is not a problem. Suddenly his sword Hope literally swings up with great force to knock her blades path from slicing through him...to moving just over him. He does not stop there as he then rushes forward at this "close combat". Now with his blade past hers and moving forward he thrusts Hope towards her chest in an atempt to penetrate her...then slash back outwards. While this happens, "Death" makes its return from its miss before, it is swiftly moving in its rotation so fast it looks like a disk of cutting DOOM! Its purpose is one thing...To either cleave Jade in half...cut off her wings...or simply keep her other sword busy defending her while Elyk with "hope" preforms his thrust and slice, as Death is attacking at Jades right. (OOC: eh...the "DOOM!" part is me being tired, cranky and sarcastic...) |

| *shrugs*...I guess controlling the entire pace of the fight doesnt mean much... But I guess i should have just went all out eh? instead of setting up a planned paced to force people into higher "modes" while giving you more room to grow.... But yeah. I could say more things...But in all it will never matter. I knew i wasnt going past this round anyway due to mostly politics.
Bye bye all. Nice to meet some of you. This is good bye as I wont be returning. EDIT: Ah...thought of something that bugged me the entire time. I HATE when people copy paste attacks from a prewritten state straight out of the profile... Seriously... | My character was trying to piss her off.... It was his head game with hers. It is how my character is... He is old...experianced and been in many battles.
So basically what you told me was that In Role playing my character i should have not really role played as him? If i did that then i wouldnt be true to the character. Here is how it is. Jade is a woman. Elyk has never...and will never like a female in the battle feild. To him she has to "Prove" to him that she deserves to be there. It is how he is. His wife that was killed had many natureal healing powers..but he refused to let her go anyway near a battle feild even though she could have been usefull. Simply put, it is how my character is. Now as for my OOC comments, clearly it gets annoying when people dont pick up on things, or completly ignore mechanics. Kaijin, Thank you for proving my point on how it was really judged. It is a horrible way to judge a tourny. Winners should always be based on.. Skill+Pace+Role playing(That is...how true you stay to your character in his actions, what he says, etc.) Whoever has the best of those elements wins. And nothing else should matter. It is how every tournament ive seen(obviously except this one) has been run. You stating that you judged on it because of the respect agaisnt an opponet IN CHARACTER, something that has nothing to do with the basic elements of fighting... Just proves the "politics" point. Oh...and yeah well when Your character also Absorbs almost half of their opponets Offensive spells/attacks..... Ya kinda just sit back and see what they try to pull out. |
