Nice, Deesse...

One problem. Suppose if someone took that banner and put it in their OWN bio. and not the winner's bio, how the hell are we suppose to tell who is the real Member of the Month?

And no, someone can edit the name as well so... what would happened if we got as least 10 members of the month in the same month? It would be very confusing and attract more idiots to the board.

"Oh look, I know where this picture come from. I should copy the fonts, the color, the exact size and picture and with a little work, I can declare myself as the Member of the Month while there is an other member of the month. So this way, there would be 2 members of the month in the same month! "

While doing that, we are really going to have as least 2 posters fighting over it and they will start spamming and flaming like hell. And guess what? We might be forced to ban the real Member of the Month and the fake Member of the Month for just breaking the rules. And we really don't want that through.

And not only that, but we don't want our deserving member get all heartbroken for all of those hard effort they paid off to do and may want to put this board in a bad reputation for depressed people only.

"Look mommy. I work hard to get 500 posts with 3 essays for each posts I did, and when the next month came, I get nothing in return." Chances are? Probably a mother going to get mad and raze this board. Or more hacking, if possible.

Thank you for voting me. (Nah, just messing around.)

Well, I do see your point but there are few problems I see:

1.) Hacking. No matter what, hacking is alway the number one problem. Why? Let say we create enough hatred because most members doesn't agree on how people are awarded. Like let say... Zabuza. (Excuse me, but I need to borrow your name for a while.)

Let say that... oh, I got the first award, Sparda got the second award, Cyro got the third award, Hobo got the 4th and Kenshin got the 5th. Somewhere along the line, he get mad because he worked hard to post his story. And suddenly, he hacked the board. Not really a good sign.

2.) Flaming/Spamming. Everyone's worst... problem. If someone get a feeling like they are being ruled out, they may run around, posting like: "I AM HATED! I DIDN'T GET ANY AWARD BECAUSE NO ONE LIKE ME." The truth is... I don't like seeing people react to that way, and not only that, but it get the feeling that we are ruling alot of members out that way.

3.) Staff's anger management. The one I thought it would be interesting to say. Suppose a poster get his award. And that would be me (not an actual award. Give me a fake one.) and all of the sudden, Kaijin get pissed and viola, he edit the thread and give someone else the Member of the Month award. It could generate enough problem to say who is the actual member of the month.

4.) Member of the Month's spamming/posting spree. Okay, now how is this a problem? Simple, this make people feel inferior to other people and all of the sudden, the Member of the Month decide to take control of those interior member and have a similar posting rule to Xeogred... Which is mostly , , . No offense, Xeogred. Some of us just doing our best to make it longer.

I am more concern about how are we going to appoach this. If we do this too serious, everyone will think it would be a race to get the member of the month.

Actually, some victory are not consider a good victory unless you fight fairly. What the hell am I saying?

Simple. If you fight like a man, not caring for weakness but only to fight at their strongest point, you are actually a man. Fighting their weakness with your strength, you are really a coward... You either get a sweet victory or a victory that make your fame goes bad.

However, there are certain condiction on how to win a battle. Simple desprition or complex doesn't really matter... It is the tone and the feeling toward to your opponent. You can't just win by brute force and logic desprition.

Most people doesn't care about winning or losing. Take Leon for a example. He lose most time but does that actually prove that most of his attack failed? Not really, he play it easily and take it either easy or seriously.

And not all of the time you win just by defeating your opponent. If your opponent left you alone because s/he know that you are pushing it too hard and s/he have the feeling that you are determined to win, your opponent can sometime actually say "You know what, kid? I see your potential and your real strength. I like your attitude... However, you are still inexperience and we should fight another day."

Would that count as a victory? Probably, since the kid's mission was to show and last as long until his/her opponent decide to give up, knowing that he or she can beat the kid anytime up.

Deesse... I am slighty shocked to hear that...

Okay, actually I am really shocked.

Well, people considered ME a negative type but I never consider myself a negative type. But let me ask you something. Is being positive the best thing in the world? Probably, but if you got no negative stuff, you probably won't last long. How does this work?

Well, for once, if someone is being positive and agree to anyone's idea, then that is a complete negative. Their voice will never heard because they are just simply agreeing. "Yep. That's a good idea." If someone who have a negative opinion of the idea, then the positive behavior and the negative behavior balance each other out, and create a better situation, then just having either one negative or positive side from overachieving one another.

Now, consider me a negative type, but by simply doing that, you also become a negative type in MY views. How does this happened? Because we are opposite trying to create a prefect balance. Everyone should think of that. You can't expect life to be completely perfect if it was only just for positive. Negative are there to prevent from a HUGE risk factor that the positive may cause.

And yes, Kaijin did change my custom title because he took one of my action so serious, that he refused to listen an innocent's side of a story. And he act too harsh and took it seriously, it wasn't really his action that make the outcome of someone's personality. What I mean is, he take thing so seriously that even if it was someone's else own choice, he doesn't care and blame it on that person (even through that person knew what he/she was doing).

Plus, everyone take my posts too seriously if I am being honest. And why is that such a bad thing? I am not allow to express my feeling and not allow to speak on my behalfs? I find it hard to believe but that is very negative and a bad choice of action. Like what you said, Deesse.

"There is really nothing you can do to stop thing, unless people stop posting and leave their opinous and options to themselves, a message board is here for people to come and interact with each other have a fun time and being able to let their voice being heard."

Chances are... there are very limited few and are afraid that the staff would overpower or abuse a poster like me.

I am not speaking harshly Deesse... You see, I rather see a prefect balance instead of just having the positive corrupt the board. You need negative if you actually want to protect the board.

And while on that topic... think about it... Let's say a person like me did his hardest to give his opinion and most people think I (or anyone else, I think they are better anyway.) deverse a Member of the Month Award. Now let's say another user came out of nowhere and talk you guys how to be make the board better. Now another month came and that other user got a award while the deversed poster get nothing. Because the staff' view is going to be different from the member's view, you may actually cause everyone to be afraid since you has the upper hand.

I am just trying to make a better situation out of these. You can't be angry at me because I am just saying this. It is because I am actually stating MY feeling, and MY opinion. You can't expect me to agree according to everyone's law but you can expect me to be presuaded at anytime...

A ghost? Dude, you know he is weak against fire or any magical-energy based spell. Beside, not the whole lot of sim-battler isn't a ghost.

And you have forgotten... Brute force isn't really the answer here. It is fighting face-to-face, unless you got the courage to fight afar, I doubt you win this way.

Also in order to fight and win effectively, you also must calm yourself and predict your opponent. You have to think what he think... Now most of you would be like: WTF are you talking about?

Here is what I mean, let say Kaijin just aggressively attack me. If I overpanic, he would deal a good damage to me. If I remain calm, I can easily dodge his attack and if I am correct (depending on his tone) , he would not know what happened next if I have or have not counterattack back. You got to make your opponent think what YOU would do, and do slightly opposite of what he try to take control of.

Now most opponent are just bluffing and say they are the best. Ignore them. You can make the best of what you can do, even if showing those opponent a lesson or two. After all, winning is not about defeating your opponent to death. It is also part of the learning your mistake as well. Both, you and your opponent, can even make a SLIGHT mistake.

Kaijin, your threat is good as it is empty.

Ugh, this game seem hardly fun. It is one of those game where you have to solve the moving cube and stay clear of the black one. While doing this, you must also clear the non-black cube. It seem very stupid but...

It is funny when the cube ran you over and they speed up like hell.

Let's see...

I think all of those Sport Video Game are horrible, it is like...

"My god, that guy just threw a ball at the other guy's groin. Let's call that a touchdown!"

I see it really pointless through... I mean, who cares about Sport Video Game? All they do is make one more worse then the other one. It just get worse by years and increase the game's price.

Well... I got a weird timeline through...

Felix Leonard - Used to be one of my username... He came out of my own heads (eww.... sound weird if you think about it.) and I thought, man he would be slightly cool. Orginially came from Golden Sun, "Felix" until I add Tactic Ogre "Leonard" to his last name. Hence, Felix Leonard. Sound craftly if I do say so myself.

Beowulf, Beowulf Lionheart, Beowulf Cor Leonis - Yep, three of the same name. First was Beowulf. Many people mistaken Beowulf from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Beowulf from Beowulf, and Beowulf from Final Fantasy Tactic. And there are several other Beowulf. I recently add Lionheart since it would sound cool and after I heard about Tales of Smphonia's Cor Leonis (said it translated to Lionheart so I decide to take it) and this become my personal username... for now.

Nechako - Not much. I hated it so it wasn't really much about it...

Bah, wasn't that long anyway...

So what about counterdicting myself? I tend to have two sides anyway, Kaijin.

It is as what Sparda said, words can alway be manipulated. It is nearly impossible for one person to understand another so it is the best if everyone just have fun and learn stuff. Beside, victory isn't the main important thing to learn. Respecting your opponent and having fun is the only victory I see.

Beside, there are several way to win even through you lost. It isn't victory if both of you respect together.

And Kaijin, nothing is ever expoisting weakness... You are actually expoisting your own weakness and I could either decide to attack you or not.

While on the topic of weakness... Not all weakness are that bad, it give the chance to EVEN COUNTERATTACK if you opponent try to attack your weakness. Like let say... While I am weak in mid-air, someone attack me. I still counterattack back since while in mid-air, I can still cast magic and stuff.

It is more like turning your weakness into strength as well.

But I used to play Yu-gi-oh, Duel Master, and Magic the Gathering. I could never cared about Pokemon because they are annoying...

But playing Shaman's King is much better than Yu-Gi-Oh since it is not official the damn heart of the *ucking cards. All luck will be used in this type of game. And if you think you still got the skill, let people laugh at you. This was never a skill game and you will be known for your stupidity.

Wow, and you thought there was more than just a few game of Roy, Marth, and Eliwood.

Fire Emblem Gaiden is one weird game. Beside the graphic and the like, it is much different than the one we played.

How?

One: Magic cost. We all know it get broken over time... (If there was a water spell, I would laugh harder. Your Water broke.) But in this game, they have a weird way of using a spell. Instead of just "using it", you must actually pay it in HP instead. Kinda like this:

Recover is a healing spell. It allow to heal someone. In return, the user will take 1 HP damages for using it.

Two: Possible Trainning Room. What do I mean by this? Let's just say you need to train your guy by fighting some thief. You go into the second room of the Thief's Shrine and you fight some. You can do this as much as you can. How is it weird? Until Fire Emblem: Seima no Kouseki (8), NONE of the relate Fire Emblem game never provide these type of stuff.

Three: Promotion. You might ask again, how is this weird? (And if you didn't, good for you.) As we all know that promotion was a major deal to getting better units, right? But how would you found out that any villagers can get promote to any type of unit? Yeah, your villagers unit can be promote into few different way, and the whole idea was that you don't have to promote them to be what you wanted them to be...

Example: Cliff can be promote since he was the villager. Level him up to 3 (just guessing right now) and promote him to either Wizard, Knight, Archer, depending on your choice. *May take a couple of try. Repeat declining offer until you are satified with your need.*

Four: RNG rape. *Shurg* You might not know what the hell is RNG Rape is... but it is where you found that something doesn't go right.

Example: You can be RNG raped if one of your unit got a level up... but get NOTHING for doing this. Like let's say Alm level up. He may get NOTHING for his stat increase. Or there was a 5% chance of hitting Alm, and they hit him 3 times in a row, you just have been RNG raped.

This game provide a little weirdness since it is not similar to most other Fire Emblem game.

Funny... I thought it was more of a Playstation 1 game. Oh yeah, I did play it for crying out loud so... I think there is a mixed result here because well...

Spoiler:
#4 is Ogre Battle. If I guess correctly, it mean be a regular Ogre Battle for SNES but I was thinking about the Ogre Battle, the March for the Black Queen or something like that. There is one for PS 1. So I basically guess that game.

Alright... I want everyone to make this a fair "contest" and try not to say anything stupid. Okay, I want a person who play BOTH games and just not vote for Zelda completely (Only if you play both Fire Emblem and Zelda, your vote count) . And just to make thing fair too, a battle between character count too.

Also, alot of other stuff applies like the graphic, music, etc. will count this poll.

Okay here it goes nothing.

I pick Fire Emblem:

Graphic: While Zelda have good graphic and stuff, and Fire Emblem 1-3 and 6-8 have all good graphic, the best I seen for a SNES was Genealogy of the Holy War and Thrica 776. Those map sprite were WAY better and some of Zelda (both modern and classic) doesn't really approve much for me.

Character Battle: Definely Fire Emblem. Why? Link, Zelda, Shiek, etc can't really fight the numerous Roy, Rutger, Marcus, Old Marcus, Athos, Myrrh, Mars (a.k.a. Marth), Sheena, Sigurd, Beowulf, Dermud, Celice, Eliwood, Guy, Lyn, Dierdre, Fury, Alm, Erirka, Ross, Cuan, Ethlin, Leaf, Hector, Othlin, Owsin, Deu, Canas, Alec, Noish, Lex, Azel, Finn, etc.

Character: I don't like much about Zelda's character. It is pretty straight-forward and lack few type of charactisc. Fire Emblem have plenty of Fire Emblem character to provide, even they have a small role, they does provide feeling to the game.

Storyline: Whoa... Zelda is about saving the world or some are like that. Fire Emblem? WAY different. Think about it... Fire Emblem 7 was killing the dragon but actually stopping Nergal and his crazy ass plan. Fire Emblem 4... is the best. You play as Sigurd, try to recuse Elina (whatever her name is spelled.) get involve more into the war, marked as a traitor, try to save Deirdre, see Cuan and Ethlin get killed for trying to assist Sigurd, and Sigurd's army is dead, thanks to the bastard, Alvis. And afterward, Sigurd's son take over. Fire Emblem provide a better storyline.

Music: While Zelda's music wasn't heard alot, I was hooked on Fire Emblem: Geneaology of the Holy War music. My favorite? Chapter 3's field music.

That's why I choose Fire Emblem. Heck, I think it is that cool and completely the best (but not of the best.).

I hate to say it guys, but I thought it would be interesting to ask. You can't say I am trying to compare them together.

Listen... both Zelda AND Fire Emblem came from Nintendo companies, and hence, I would see which you would pick.

SECOND, you guys doesn't even read the post I said before. I want people who play BOTH games. Not just one. Not only that, you also failed to mention everything I said before. You got to count the graphic, the storyline, etc. into your post.

Third, if you just play one game of Zelda or Fire Emblem, puh-lease. You never give either a chance. Look, Zelda has some good music. It is just that... the music doesn't really work for me. While I have played some Zelda game, I am just seeing how that Zelda have so many good games, but lack in serious straight-forward plot. (It does have a plot, I know...). And even through Zelda have a good graphic, sometime it just seem too... underrated. (No offense guy, but I am not just into 3D style. All of those damn block kept blocking my views.)

Okay, fine... Let's me hear that you only play one Fire Emblem game and mostly Zelda game. Hey, you didn't give Fire Emblem a chance and look where they are.

And look, you never give Fire Emblem a chance. Try playing Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and get to Chapter 3. You will like that music. Trust me, I do.

Or is it because you never try a Mamkute before? I do. And if I would have to play with just a single Mamkute, it would be more fun to play with just one and see how they would kick everyone's ass.

And Xeogred, if Zelda > All, then we would be playing in Zelda era. Just for your information.

Tamarin, you should stop bothering me because I am getting sick of you annoying me everytime I make something that I must feel about.

And you honestly want comparison!? Here is some:

NES Graphic:

Fire Emblem: I didn't like it as much. It was just as horrible. Beside that it was a long time ago graphic. I didn't like it was much as some NES game. This give Zelda a upper hand because there are some Fire Emblem mess up on some part!

Zelda: Honestly, this game got an upper hand.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SNES Graphic:
Fire Emblem: Whoa... Fire Emblem 4 and 5 look way much better than any games I honestly played. The graphic, the look, everything is done nearly prefectly.
Zelda: Eh... comparing to Fire Emblem's graphic, it is not that good. Link look too weird.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gamecube:

To be foretold. (Zelda seem cooler too. Who know? Maybe Fire Emblrem screw up the graphic.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Storyline, Plot: (Highlight the spoiler.)
Spoiler:
Wow... Zelda isn't huge in storyline. Beside getting few things, it seem hardly effortless beat the game if you know what you are doing.
Fire Emblem? Whoa, this stay on the story. (Except Fire Emblem 6 and 7. They messed that up. You can't go backward in the past without messing the storyline a little. ) Sigurd fight to save Elina, instead he was involve a country war (but he saved her anyway). Then the country mark him as a traitor because of his father's action, Dierdre was taken, etc. etc., and guess what? Say goodbye to Sigurd's army because they are dead. Instead, of saying Game Over, Sigurd's son took over. However, Fin wasn't dead yet... because he was protecting Cuan and Ethlin's son, Leaf, at that time.
And in Fire Emblem 5, it show that Leaf pick up where after Fire Emblem 4 event. The war isn't still over yet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Character:

This isn't going to be any comparison. But I don't care if this does or does not support my reason.

Fire Emblem have several characters. Each have their own motives. Unlike Zelda's Link, they actually talk and Link doesn't say a damn word beside when he get hit. Beside, it is much better to hear all of those support conversation because it happened to help the storyline as well. You don't trust me? Hey, try Canas' and that Renault's (the last bishop I believe.) support. Read the whole thing until you get an A for their support or by website.

Spoiler:
Renault's history is bizarre. He killed Lucius' father, was Wallace teacher, and is over 100 years old. This also explain that he can take out Bartre with just one punch.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Battle System / Engine:
This isn't the best comparison. I simply knew that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xeogred... If you think I read most Japanese... let just say... I made a deal someone can't refused it.

Plus, Beowulf was also in Fire Emblem 4. And get this, I has a wife. O_o Apparently, my lover and I died. But here's Beowulf anyway.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Yep... look like I kick ass... (And yes, this IS Fire Emblem 4. It is now translated to English.)

Well, I hope this is much of a "comparison you all seek from me".

"Yay!" Beowulf shouted as he ran forward toward to Leon. He leaped at Leon, trying to hug him like a normal brother would. He quietly whisper into Leon's ear, so quiet, that no one can hear him.

Beowulf gave a look at Leon again, and give him a hug again. He could not express the feeling into words, but you can see that he was happy... Few tears flow down his cheek. All he could care about was having his brother back...

"It is good to see you again... My brother..." Beowulf release himself, and stood next to Leon, trying to keep all the males away and would let the females feel to hug him and etc.

"Welcome back, Mr. Leon!"
