The hotel had become insecure, and I was forced to limit any of my secluded activities to the most necessary actions and the most boring ones. I returned to my room, previously intent on doing a little recon work on the data gathered that afternoon, but resolved to rest on the bed watching late night movies for fear of a bug installed in the room.

The next morning, I asked the morning concierge for another room, and was relocated to a second-story room overlooking the pool. I spent a good part of the morning relaxing in the hotel jacuzzi before I was interrupted by Agent Demaria.

"Having fun?" he asked standing before me clothed in his trademark street clothes.

I sank lower into the bubbling artificial spring, "I was until you got here. Please tell me you've come to tell me that I'm done for the rest of my trip."

He turned off the jacuzzi timer, and threw my car keys into the tub, "You're not done. Get dressed, we're taking a drive." I sighed heavily, dove underwater to retrieve the keys, and relunctantly returned to my room. While there, the maid service had already started straightening my room, except that it was too early for housekeeping to be doing it. The male maid turned from his crouched position behind my bed, a set of pliers in his hand. He quickly jumped from his position lunging at me with the pliers. I, startled to say the least, moved out of his way grabbing his arm as he flew past me and twisting it behind his back shoving him into the wall. I locked his wrist, and delivered a quick jab to his kidney before pushing him harder into the wall. He dropped the pliers and shifted his weight over releasing my grasp on his wrist just enough for him to roundhouse kick me in the side. My bad, I thought stepping backward.

He turned around to face me, and squared up with me. I dropped to a ready stance noticing my ice bucket next to me filled with melted ice water. He faked a punch as I grabbed the bucket and threw it at him. My assailant momentarily blinded, I reached into the top drawer of my dresser pulling out my .45 just as he did the same with a 9mm. Both of our guns cocked and ready to fire, we stood staring down each other's barrels.

His eyes momentarily shifted towards the curtained window behind me as Agent Demaria began to enter the room. I dropped down to my right knee rolling onto my side as he fired off a shot at the window. Agent Demaria backed off, and took a defensive position out in the hallway, his gun at the ready. I rolled around up against the dresser to face the suspect, whom had focused his attention on Agent Demaria, and fired a shot piercing through the right side of his torso knocking him into the wall and onto the floor next to the beds. His gun flew out of his hands landing on the ground in front of me, barrel facing me pointed right between my eyes. Fortunately, it didn't accidentally fire.

Agent Demaria slowly entered the room, asking if I was fine. I stood, not touching anything around me, and walked over to check on my assailant. He lay, next to the bed, unconscious bleeding profusely from his side and wheezing slightly, a trial of blood oozing out from the corner of his mouth. Brandon dialed up the concierge, local police and headquarters. It was time for me to move to another hotel, and time to terminate my target as soon as possible.

After our Agency crime scene investigators had secured the scene, and returned my laptop and belongings, Agent Demaria checked me out of the hotel and we were off on the dusty road of Phoenix bound for downtown.

"One simple thing," he started while staring out of his passenger side window, "and you turn it into a circus. Lucky for you, we cover-up things rather efficiently."

"You know, if I had been that guy, I would have said I was fixing the lamp or something," I said while Brandon shifted his position, "but I guess he just wanted to do me in right there."

Brandon removed a Polaroid from his pocket and placed it on the dashboard. "This is your target. You'll recognize him, and I'm sure he's tied to your buddy back in the hotel. Please, terminate him this time."

I glanced at that photo trying not to deviate from the slow traffic confirming that it was my former Starbucks Agent, "I will. I already told you that."

This section is going to be rewritten...I don't like it.

Although, if you compare my 5/20 post to my 5/27 post with Zabuza, you'll see just how quickly my hair does grow within seven days. I already need a haircut and it's only been like two to three weeks. It grows like a mofo.

That just means you'll learn the insides and outs about stuff under the hood of a car that is way more than anything I'd like to know. As long as my car runs, and gets me to where I need to go without probs, I'm good.

Orientation sounded fun. [EDITED FOR SECURITY REASONS]

My hair has always grown relatively fast. I average a haircut about twice a month just because of that. If it gets really long, it starts to curl and become wavy. I don't like that, so I try to keep it short. Especially now that I have the highlights. Since the highlights are in, and they're quite expensive, I usually let my hair grow out longer. Then, I'll cut it down just before Comic Con to get that Zabuza look I need. Or, Zabuza's just gonna have to have highlights.

Welcome to the working world. It only gets better from here on out, and that's sarcasm.

So you're a minion, it happens, and it stays forever. [EDITED FOR SECURITY REASONS]

When I worked for Disney, it was about the same. TSA, same thing, but with more authority. This is the working world. If you want stuff, you need money. And, if parents won't support ya, there's work. Just suck it up and live it down.

Trust me, the real world isn't meant to be fun. One does have to work to earn their money. [EDITED FOR SECURITY REASONS]

Ha! I totally put the "fun" in dysfunctional!

Somehow, I'm not surprised at all. I was kind of wondering if there was anything in there they weren't including...then it hit me...my government affiliations. And, that would have possibly pushed so far over the edge that I could be labelled as anything. Well, maybe a conspiracy paranoid gamer ex-government ex-disney geekazoid...with anime. And, gay.

I have no sympathy for you. I'm just happy that you've finally realized that work is not a walk in the park. Most job (actually all of them) aren't meant to be fun. You should have a degree of enjoyment, but work is work. [EDITED FOR SECURITY REASONS.]

It might be best not to quit right away. It will hurt you looking for jobs in the future. Potential employers don't like to see that you've moved around too many times, or that you didn't stay for longer than a month...it conveys a feeling of flakiness. It's also not good to spend more than 5 to 10 years on one job, it shows that you're afraid of change.

Having a job and the money to do so, I import everything I watch. I have a multiregion DVD player (also imported before they were available in the US) for all the stuff that just doesn't have a US release. And, I usually don't like any of the US release things either. I'd prefer them in their original language (meaning that I do have some Chinese and Korean things as well as the Japanese stuff).

Well, temporarily anyway. More like a vacation from the norm. Not for long though.

So, I'm driving on the 105 freeway headed towards LAX, far lane, at about 70 miles per hour when the entire electrical system dies out on me. I can feel the heaviness of the car below my feet as I try to merge over to exit. Two miles later, I'm stuck on the off-ramp with a completely dead car. No emergency flashers, no lights, no radio, no nothing electrical. Won't start, just clicks. If that.

Thirty minutes later, it's been towed to work ($24 after my AAA coverage), sat there for two days. On Saturday morning, I have it towed (thanks to my wonderful friend and her AAA Plus) home where it's still sitting waiting to be towed yet again (my AAA) to the garage where I hope it will be fine with not too much of a costly repair.

Either way, I'm renting a professional whore today for the next few days while Jack is out of commission. He can see it as both a vacation and much needed maintenance thingy. He's getting old (108,000 miles), and he needs to be pampered a lot more now.

Just thought I'd share. And, since I have an extremely busy work/school schedule on top of this, you'll find sympathy in why I haven't updated Soldier of Fortune: The RPG, Soldier of Fortune: Arizona, or any of the Paradox Island stories.

The blood dripped slowly off his fingertips onto the hot sand sizzling as it impacted against the hot desert. His short highlighted hair ruffled slightly in the warm breeze, a trail of the crimson blood leading down from his chin across his black shirt silhouetting around the four inch gash in his gut. His breathing slow, but faltering, he stared through the crack in his sunglasses at the neverending desert, staring beyond the wreckage of his helicopter to the orange setting sun. He turned to watch the pilot slowly drag his broken body across the sand trying to get away. Reaching into his shoulder holster, he removed the chrome plated .45 that had been his only friend during the last fifteen years of solitude and pointed it squarely at the pilot's head.

The few birds miles away fluttered about at the loud gunshot. The pilot, resting in a pool of spattered brain matter and blood, clutched the ground in his final moments, sand and clay running through his bloodied fingers. The dark figure lowered his gun, replacing it into his shoulder holster and spied the approaching night sky. His vision darkened, not because of the night, not because of the sunglasses, but of the massive blood loss. He dropped heavily to his knees, expelling a stream of blood infused air, dropping down to his hands holding his body over the hot sand.

The blood reminded him of those first days long ago when he began disassociate with society; the few drops forming small shapes as they sizzled and splattered on the hot clay. His sunglasses slid off his face, breaking on the unforgiving ground, shattering much like his heart had a little over a decade ago. He coughed a final time, then joined the pilot for his final warm earthly embrace.

I stopped giving free advice about computers (spelled with an "e" not "o") since I now do that as part of my business. So, unless we've got the $20 to $200 an hour I cost, no dice. Till then, I wish you luck on your computer building endeavor and urge to purchase a book on it just in case you have absolutely no idea what you're doing. Hopefully, your spelling doesn't reflect on your ability.

Just because I happen to be listening to La Vie Boheme right now means absolutely nothing, but I'd rather see it on stage again before I see the travesty that Hollywood has created. Also, I've been craving Cats as well as of late. Must be the Memory song...

On the computer, 10.5 Gigs...about some couple hundred songs. On the watch, 35 songs.
On the CDs, about 80 give or take, not counting the four six in the car.
On cassette (yes cassette), 20...that I can find.
On paper, a lot of classical, some soundtrack scores, and a few personal works.

I'm a music whore. Always have been. Fourteen years of violin does that to you. Now, I return to trying to memorize Rent.

OOC: Screw this, I'm flash-forwarding all of you to Paris DeGaulle. Screw the airport and everything I had planned in between. This is taking too long. Time to set the stage.

You've all arrived and have gathered with two rental cars, small but fast little thingies, and are waiting to receive further instructions when a black helicopter approaches the roadway, a dark-clad agent X3PH1R hanging out of it via rope. He drops down in front of the group, armed to the teeth, and...

X3PH1R: "Hello, please to meet those of you that I haven't physically met you before. Pagano, Williams, how's it going? Anyway, I'm sure you thought you were here to apprehend me. Well, you're not. That's just what they want you to think."

X3PH1R: "Why would you think they'd round up the best agents to track the their highest agent? Easy, keep the competition out of the country, and it makes it easier to do whatever it is they're planning. So, while we're all half a world away, our "government" has decided to execute something that they know we'd try to stop."

X3PH1R: "The decision is yours. Wild goose chase with me half a world away, or follow me and find the truth. I'm departing now, but if you want to know where I am, that little phone I tossed at you before will help. Till then, I bid thee adieu."

X3PH1R jumps onto the awaiting helicopter, his rifles trained on the group as the helicopter lifts and disappears into the horizon behind the airport. The group left to their own devices with a crowd of scare people huddling around them. The French police on their way, the group has only moments to decide their situation.

OOC: Off to it.

It's nothing, really. I just have a gift that I can't control. Sometimes, its there and it makes my writing meaningful. Sometimes, its gone and the work needs work. But, in the end, I hate everything I do.
