Yeah, right. Your right hand, as in when you're facing a mirror, the reversed image would the drawn left hand. Therefore, it's still your right! Obviously, the one holding the bowl, since it does look like a thumb and not a bell.

I still use HTML, but since I usually have to crank out pages faster and more effeciently, I've switched to xHTML. It just helps a lot faster, and since most browsers don't care if you group xHTML and HTML directly on the same web-document, I see no issue in using both. This is more a question of how well the programmer can handle change, how lazy you are, and what anal-retentive attachments you have.

I'm a professional quality assurance technician slash code release technician for EA Games, mobile division. By profession, our games are reviewed down the smallest, most anal, and vain details possible to ensure near perfection and top notch cellular phone gaming experience. Being both anal and vain ensures a better structure to the end user. So, after a long night of checklists from hell, I tend to find little matters such as the time of an edited post to be incredibly trivial.

Granted, it's an awesome find to notice that the posts are 1) following a server timestamp, 2) miscalculating a server/user timestamp, or 3) any other matter of reason that comes with coding. Much like I don't see the triviality of 90% of the issues that we find in our games, when they're closed and released with bugs, I don't see the problem with an edit timestamp being six hours in the future. If it interferes with the overall function of the site, then fix it. If not, then what's the point of wasting that programming time when it can be better allocated elsewhere?

Okay, you want my unadulterated opinion, since you can't decide whether you'd like me to sugarcoat or not:

Obviously, it's a stylized form of drawing, so I'm going to stay away from pointing out the big noses. But, since this is a sketch, I'm not holding it in too high of a calibur of quality...obviously.

(I wish I had Illustrator and the Mac G5 again.)

Anyway, is it that difficult to visualize yourself and then draw? Or use that magical glass thing called a mirror? I mean, I have those little poseable models for my use, even though I leave him in a "playing the violin" pose...

I admit that even I can't draw hands and feet and shoes, so I don't. If I have to, I shove hands in pockets, arms behind backs, characters behind other objects. But, that's just me.

I really can't find anything to criticize on, except for hands being small in proportion, and thumb being on the wrong side.

Will you just take the compliment and move on? Geez. Try to be nice, and I get bitten in the ass by it. Be myself, and I get overanalyzed by some kid. I can't win, I'm not gonna try.

Oh, and "Dale"'s right hand just seems to be floating in front of him, not really coming out of the robe. Anatomically, the placement of his hand seems like it would have to bend in a rather uncomfortable and awkward position. But, it seems that only I would notice these things because it's in my job description to notice details.

I'm done.

I said it before, and I'll say it again...it's good.

I like your artistic style in sketch drawing. Sorry, I'm distracted by horrible sounding music played by little kids.

Anyway, I like the detail, and it doesn't really need much to convey the emotion. Much like I can capture people in writing, you've been able to capture emotion just in their eyes. Truly amazing.

My eyes usually look glazed over and zoning out. Guess it comes from me being glazed over and zoning out occasionally.

It's not Halloween, but I don't care.

For my The Demon story (that I recently had closed in the Story Realm because it's being rewritten as a screenplay), I cosplay the main character occasionally to get a feel for his clothing and range of motion. I only used a Naruto Sound Village forehead protector because my hair is all poofy, and I couldn't get a haircut before the picture. That usually takes too long, especially if I get my highlights done. I'm not metro, I'm gay, remember?

This was Untitled Work #5, but I accidentally deleted the post, so I just gave it a temporary working title, and reposted what I had.



The freeway always seem so dead after they arrive. Eight lanes on both sides, empty, and covered in a fine dust. The sun deadened above through the thick yellow cloud. Sounds of the air filtering through the gas mask invaded his ears, his rifle clicking as he stepped slow and heavy down the desolate highway. The homeless gathered in overturned vehicles under the 110 interchange overcrossing over the 105 freeway. He walked past them, watching them sit in their makeshift tents solemnly breathing in the toxic cloud. His mobile command vehicle sat yards behind him, headlights casting solid beams away from the vehicle.

The carnage lay ahead, a mountain of crushed vehicles swimming in a pool of vehicular fluids tinged with blood. Beyond the mountain, a chasm lay waste to what had been the rest of the interchange between the 110 south and the 105 freeway, bounded on both sides by a wreckage border. He stopped walking and knelt down to inspect a small object at the foot of the wreckage mountain.

A small cloth doll resting in a pool of green antifreeze and blood and, a few feet away, the outstretched, lifeless hand of a little girl protruding from the bottom of the wreckage pile--from beneath what looked like a crushed SUV. He stepped around it, and past the hand, up onto the mountain of metal and glass to the ridge overlooking the chasm below. In the center of the mile-diameter hole, a smoldering space rock rested spewing the yellow toxic cloud from its depths. A gated government perimeter erected a few hundred feet around the rock prevented unauthorized access to the crater field. Several mobile structures were set up around the gated area, each shielded and reinforced to prevent harm from the toxic gases. Toxic Control Personnel, which included him, walked around the wreckage in protective armored suits, inspecting the results of last week's event.

They had been warned several months before of an impending impact from a giant celestial structure headed for Los Angeles, but when the government learned that it's trajectory would place the object far away from Downtown Los Angeles, they chose to cover up the newfound information. It hit on a Friday, at the peak of rush hour, casting a giant shadow over that section of Lynwood for over half an hour before impacting. The freeway was filled to capacity on both sides, with traffic on all levels of the multilevel interchange between the 110 and 105 freeways. He had been placed on standby that day, with a team of TCP soldiers, a few miles east of the impact site. They waited, and watched through high powered telescopes, as the rock--half a mile in diameter--entered the atmosphere, cleared the clouds, and decimated several hundred vehicles, people, homes, and two highways. They could have evacuated the area. They could have prevented all this loss. Instead, they played cover-up story, informing the public that the rock instead was a solar eclipse. Though it had cast an enormous shadow upon the small portions of the city as it closed in, it was no solar eclipse.

He stood at the top of the wreckage mountain, watching the yellow fumes waft in the breeze, slowly spreading across Southern California choking out the sun and any whom had yet to acquire their gas masks and protective supplies. Riots had ensued amongst the pandemonium following the impact. Nearby hardware supply stores were liquidated of their painting supplies and any form of mask that could filter the air. Supermarkets and warehouse stores left desolate a few hours following the impact. Those who could get away flooded the remaining freeways heading north and east of California. Entire cities were turned into ghost towns by Monday morning.


Again, time constraints.
