Nerd, yet I've done similar on both the piano and the violin. Just never videotaped it. Although, there is that one tape sitting in storage...

I'm not too sure about what you're implying, but I'm just a little disappointed to see my hard work go away just like that. No matter, one must embrace change if one plans to move ahead in life.

I can deal with my large reposts; they are only stories afterall with no other real purpose other than to entertain. And, I can move on with the knowledge of knowing that I once was in the top 5 with over 1500 posts...second to 1000 right after Elara, I believe, and well on my way to 2000. I can just mentally add my posts from before to my current posts. Not a prob, Bob.

How did this go from my uncaring impending (and current) death of the Pope to a discussion on the basis of the larger religious sects?

Did I miss something along the way, or was this never to be touched on again because we want to move away from the morbid subject of death and into a heated debate on theological belief systems and deities?

I'm confused, but feel free to carry on despite my dribble.

It's just gonna go here until someone moves it, or whatever.

I was out playing tennis today just to see if I still had "it". I don't. I'm out of shape...slightly wheezing (granted, I'm sick), tired muscles, and I had a bad cut on one finger (dripping blood). I still kind of had "it", but "it" lacked in a few areas. And, I was playing with someone whom hadn't touched the racket in a few dozen years. Myself, a few year, but with a few earlier lessons from childhood thrown in.

Despite all this, do you ever get the feeling you're out of shape? What do you do about it?

I was actually surprised to find out that I had lost weight yet again. A full six pounds. When I started TSA, I weighed 205. When I left TSA, I weighed 192. I dropped another four pounds to 188 when I went on vacation during TSA, and gained the four pounds when I returned. Four month anniversary with Tower Records, and I now weigh 185. Not bad for just walking around all day. But, I'm still a shape--roundish...

Well, realizing that my current photo is the .45 (which I don't own, it's a friend's), but just my face...I can shrink it down, but then you wouldn't be able to tell who I am. But, thanks so far!

Which is totally true...I mean just because I'm sick right now, I can still play tennis. Granted, I'm wheezing and coughing up a lung towards the end, but I feel better about myself afterward. And, it's fun to play just for fun. No competition crap, that just pisses (me) people off.

Anyway, I should have mentioned that I stand at 6'2" weighing my 185 pounds, so I'm somewhat proportionate to my height. I look fine. I feel fine. But, I could be in better shape. So, as a tribute to that, I'll be off making belgian waffles. Anybody want any?

I'm heading towards Phoenix for a pending job interview and know that I'm going to be bored there in between. I have two days to spend in this wonderful town, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestion on what to visit (within walking distance, I'll have no car). I'll be within six miles of the airport, and will probably find stuff to do, but I'd prefer suggestions from locals or frequent visitors.

Thanks in advance.

You are such a dork, and you'll get your internet waffle as well, since I ended up making pasta instead.

Anywho, open invitation to my buddies and anyone near me to head out to school and play tennis with me. Exercise is good for you, gamers. And, I don't mean your thumbs.

As much as I'd like another process slowing down my computer and uploading my keystrokes to some server somewhere in hopes that I can obsessively obtain some million things per day or so, I'd have to pass.

Interesting thought though, but I'll just pass this time. Maybe I can secretly install the program at school...

Although, if you remember, when we were looking at stuff, I did suggest it. But, if you'd rather carry more than just 128 MB of files, it's best to go with other MP3 players than with the watch. I just like my watches to do more than just tell time. Tis all.

Posted on 04-06-05 08:58 PM, in Past Lives Link
I took a java-based esoteric quiz online that yielded these results for one of my past lives, which oddly holds true to my current incarnation.

Your past life diagnosis: I don't know how you feel about it, but you were male in your last earthly incarnation.
You were born somewhere in the territory of modern East Australia around the year 1775.
Your profession was that of a leader, major or captain.Your brief psychological profile in your past life:
Timid, constrained, quiet person. You had creative talents, which waited until this life to be liberated. Sometimes your environment considered you strange. The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation:
Your main task is to make the world more beautiful. Physical and spiritual deserts are just waiting for your touch. Keep smiling! Do you remember now?

Based on my own meditations and explorations into my previous lives, I have found that I reincarnated rather quickly as compared to other people. My last incarnation died at the age of 86 a liberal free spirit of a man in 1975. I was reborn in 1981. This explains my tendencies to "remember" things that I personally didn't live through, yet still have memories.

Any thoughts on your past lives?

I especially love this song, but often forget the title...it played on my LaunchCast today:

Mad World by Gary Jules. I think it was used in Donnie Darko as well, but I can't really remember. Mmm...Donnie's hot. Anyway:

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places
Worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going no where
Going no where
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression
No expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow
No tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Mad world
Mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen
Sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me
No one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what’s my lesson
Look right through me
Look right through me
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Mad world
Mad world
Enlarging your world
Mad world

You know Gilgamesh is an old Babylonic poem about the King of Uruk, not exclusively FF anything. There's a TV producer named Norm Hiscock. Full name, Norman Hiscock. Try growing up with that.

I used to walk to school every single day (2 miles there, 2 miles back) from 6th till 8th grade, almost every day in high school (1.5 miles there, 1.5 miles back) from 9th until senior year. So, my legs are a bit more developed than the rest of my body. With TSA, I lifted and hauled bags around daily weighing between 45 to 108 lbs. So, the strength in my arms increased as well.

I'm a fast typist, so the tendons tied back to the muscles that control my fingers along the keyboard are fairly well developed as well. While playing tennis last year, I actually toned up a bit, but since I suffered through two injuries in the last two years, I haven't played or execised much since then. I'm starting to get back into tennis mostly because it's the only sport I like, and it's the only sport that forces me to run (after the ball). By the by, I average about 50 to 108 WPM...it's a broad range, but it all depends on my mood and how much sugar I've had. Caffeine makes me sleepy. Speaking of which, I need to take my meds now. Bronchitis.

Somehow I knew you were going to brag about your bodybuilding thingies.

Worked on my end, but then I have the full (free) program installed. The plug-in is QuickTime, and it wouldn't help to install the program if that's the issue. It worked fine on my end, with Firefox.

Who were you dating back then?

Anyway, you can enjoy your addictive depressive state (you'll need to watch What The Bleep? to understand what I'm talking about, since I now have it).

I have a nostril that is plugged, and my head hurts, and Jack is all shiny. I'll be at school at some point playing tennis just because...

It was cold that day, and the leather jacket is warm, and its the only leather jacket I own. And, now that leather tie, but that's another story for another day. I think I'll retake that picture with the SKS rifle later on. But, I am surprised to see that people like the .45 picture instead. Weird...
