So I just finished the first game again, man it's crazy how well I remember all the "events"of the game and how it progresses, though I certainly needed a refresher on the storyline. Like I was saying above, it's crazy how well Kojima connected things here and well, when I was going through MGS again there were so many things that almost made my head explode. Again... it's just absolutely insane how everything is perfectly explained.

Going through it again and knowing stuff about MGS4, throughout the entire game it's like I had no idea who the hell to trust. And man does this game never age. Now I love the new ones and how they're a little more polished with the music and all, but the original will always have a real special place in my heart I've gotta say. I just love the atmosphere, it seems much darker, the classic sci-fi soundtrack, Liquid, etc, epic. But this whole series will definitely become a classic in my eyes a few years down the road. I think Kojima pretty much made something comparable to Star Wars in terms of fame and possiblities in the realm of videogames. He created a "world".

Anyways ... I also can't contain myself, it's getting really hard. I watched a few videos on Youtube, like R's ending and stuff. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, I need money and a PS3!

Ahh I love the MGS series, and even though 3 was a little bit of a let down, I was already addicted so it didn't matter. Fully agree with the statement, Metal Gear will have a place in the hearts of gamers for generations to come. And as for needing money for a PS3, I'm in the same boat as you. Kojima sure knows how to make a story...

Yeah.

...yeah.

This, unfortunately. My record for episodes in-a-row is 21, but it was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann so it's A-OK. I need to find a reason to sit down and watch this, because I'm out of anime(aside from Gundam 00, still >.>)

EDIT: Yeah this was kinda a bump, but I thought it was okay in here. Sorry if I was wrong.

I never really got into manga, but one that a friend of mine coaxed me into buying was Fruits Basket, which i've enjoyed so far(have first 6), but like the video game selection here, the manga selection blows as well. I'd have to order anything I wanted, but the main reason I've avoided manga is because I read a lot, and at a high level. Generally I get through full novels in two or three days, and adding pictures and removing words only makes me burn through a book faster, even while enjoying the artwork. All-in-all I'd still be up for reading manga, but I haven't really found a series I want to try on for size.

Only a little, but only because Snake wasn't god yet, and Matthew was being a prick. XD wait, that second part has nothing to do with the game itself...

EDIT: But man was he being a prick... It's not like I hijacked his console in his own home- owait, I did.

Posted on 06-23-08 05:30 AM, in Yes, another quiz regarding accents Link
What American accent do you have?
Created by Xavier on Memegen.net

Northern. Whether you have the world famous Inland North accent of the Great Lakes area, or the radio-friendly sound of upstate NY and western New England, your accent is what used to set the standard for American English pronunciation (not much anymore now that the Inland North sounds like it does).

If you are not from the North, you are probably one of the following:
(a) A Southerner who hates Southern accents and tries really hard to "talk right"; or
(b) A New Yorker or New Jerseyan who doesn't have the full accent

Take this quiz now - it's easy!
We're going to start with "cot" and "caught." When you say those words do they sound the same or different?

but, but... that's not fair! I'm from northern Canada!!

The most unrealistic thing that I've ever been seriously interested in... is a pirate. I honestly think I could pull it off, but I think my parents would prefer me getting my BSW. I also thought learning how to blacksmith would be cool, even as a hobby. Alas, I don't have nearly the arm strength or stamina for that. (someday, maybe )

Yeah, I think if i ever got serious about reading manga, I'd order it. It gets me all anxious when I'm out of my element in a book store(looking at a manga series I think looks pretty cool from it's storyline, artwork, etc., then realizing it's a yaoi). Nagis, your manga site made me cry a little:

So yeah, finished season 1, loved it. Dove into season two, and I'm so far loving every second of it, but I had trouble taking a few episodes seriously(9, for example). On 10 atm, but you can expect me to be caught up within 2 hours XP

Japanese. All the good things about an American RPG are taken from Japanese RPGs, 'nuff said...

How many times do you eat take out/fast food? (~4 times here, once a week McDonalds, then random 7/11 Taquito cravings)

13 was sad... really.
Spoiler:
whoa, I got it to work, damn I'm awesome.
I think it's a little too convenient that Lord Jeremiah just "happened" to have Lelouch's mother as hid first assignment, and then swear his allegiance right away after that... I think either it's a trick, or his emotions were just dictated by the speed of plot.

As for Shirley... damn, just... damn. I liked her... better then the other females with some link to Lelouch/zero, aside from Kallen. I thought it was a little spooky how his geass activated, and worked, repeatedly, each time he used it... significant? Who knows, maybe she'll come back... this series has proven to be ridiculous in epic proportions at times so far

edit: Oh yeah, Rolo... he seems like a sorry attempt at the Elfen Lied character, without a dual personality. Perhaps he'll be cooler later on... or, if Lelouch hasn't grown attached to him, dead?

Yeah i was looking at the site for a week there, and they were adding characters like crazy I'm usually pretty unexcited when it comes to new game releases, but I'm willing to sell a kidney for this game... arcade style action is a weakness of mine.

*opts out of pyramid*
Spoiler:
Yeah, I was asking if it was significant because of what C.C. said... I was thinking, in season one actually: "when it grows stronger, maybe he can give out more then one command, and become some kind of crazy puppet-master". Now with Jeremiah an his canceler, it looks like he might achieve this no matter what :o

Also, i was imagining Lelouch with an eye patch(once the contact lens stops working) and a pirate hat in the near future... ._.
