THis stuff im uploading is pretty "In your face". So im going to warn you now. Its melodic, but like Black Melodic Metal.

Vesperian Sorrow- "Into the realm of Dreams and Hell."

Its pretty good in my opinion...I like Black/ doom/ Death metal from time to time.

Edit- W00t, Page 10! May the Metal flow within our blood. Cheers Metalgamers!

Wow Club:

- Manticora: Wow! Definitely going to check them out. Its like Dragonforce, but good.
- Vesperian Sorrow: I might even check them out. I still haven't dwelved into a lot of harsher vocals stuff (besides some of my crazy thrash), but these guys seem awesome.

I should upload some of my thrash for you. You'd probably dig it if you like the intense stuff.

Anyways, like I said earlier, Onward is great.
The Kindness of Strangers

I think I might upload like 10 amazing thrash songs from various awesome bands sometime soon.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I highly recommend you check out Stormwarrior if you haven't, pretty similar to Manitcora.

Manticora is the bomb.

I mean, im not really into Black Metal and all. But DAMN. I think vespian Sorrow is about as Deep as im going...

I would LOVE to know how the vocalist sounds so demonic though. Sends chills down my spine.

That collection is amazing. Made me buy a handful of Dio's early albums!

HOLY DIVER!

I also have the best of Rainbow (Dio's band before his own I believe). Not as heavy, but still has some great stuff.

Working on a fun metal package for everyone right now. Or you just Club, I guess.

Also I'm stickying this again.

Holy Diver has become a bane in my existence.

While watching some cable network's 20 best metal bands of all time, they played Holy Diver and after the show ended they played the video three times over in 30 minutes.

Gahhhhhh!!

The video also teases to action that never really happens. It also leads you to believe there's no one else in the band, but him.

Nice video!

Also, The End Records is a great place for more obscure albums and stuff. I've got some incredible albums from there! (Agent Steel, Realm, Heathen, Titan Force, and a few others I can't think of).

I know I haven't been too active lately, but my metal collection hasn't stopped or slowed down a bit. Now at 30 gigs, and probably close to 200 CD's. I love it!

Anyways I thought I'd randomly share a bunch of cool stuff, here's what to expect in this package I made for you guys. Hopefully Club isn't the only one here who'll download this! (volume can be random, as the years are pretty spread out here from 80's stuff to recent stuff, so watch out)

1. ADX[Fre] - Suprématie - French speed metal! One of the first bands I've heard actually sing in French too. Regardless, its amazing!

2. Agent Steel (Skeptics Apocalypse) - Bleed For The Godz - Shitting on Dragonforce back in ~1987! , haha. This band is fucking fast, the epitome of speed metal. Vocalist John Cyiss is pretty out of this world as well. This song is just amazing, and I recently got my hands on this album, its legendary!

3. King Diamond (Abigail) - A Mansion in Darkness - Awesome stuff. King Diamond's vocals are so atmospheric. Not for everyone though, I probably would've puked at this a few years ago! Shrieking galore.

4. Liege Lord (Master Control) - Soldier's fortune - Holy Lordy. I have GOT to get this album. Not only does the vocalist Jon Comerua (Something like that, also he's in Tad Morose now!) sound more like Bruce Dickinson than anyone else on the planet, this album is fucking incredible. Its somewhat epic, a bit thrashy at times, power metal with balls (late 80's). Vocals are so commanding. Its just, wow.

5. Realm (Endless War) - Slay The Oppressor - Obscure thrash gem. Wow, this vocalist sounds like a pyscho! Shrieks are holy crap "Slay! The Oppressahahahahahaah!!!!!!!!". Awesome, but probably not for everyone. They're really fast too.

6. Sanctuary (Refuge Denied) - Battle Angels - Imagine a darker moodier Painkiller (Judas Priest). And wow, does this vocalist rock, though I don't care for his later band Nevermore. At times he sounds like Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian) with Painkiller-esque Rob Halford wails. Incredible stuff.

7. Scanner (Terminal Earth) - From the Dust of Ages - Call me a silly billy but I've come to like (at least their debut Hypertrace) Scanner's earlier stuff more than Helloween's Keeper albums! Yeah, I'm serious. This song I tried to upload earlier but it didn't all get uploaded somehow. Anyways, its a lot like Gamma Ray's epic songs, longer with some awesome stuff. Its just awesome.

8. Slauter Xstroyes (Free the Beast) Blood In The Streets - Really obscure power/thrash/speed US band. The vocalist sounds like a pyschopath at times, which is fun. I really can't classify their style, but they're just amazing. Kind of like Realm at times. I need this album!

9. Steel Attack[Swe] (Enslaved) - Gates of Heaven - Threw this in for the newer power metal fans. Awesome stuff, a bit like Iron Savior.

10. The Claymore[Ger] (Monument) - Ancient Enemy - More newer obscure power metal. Very good, the vocals are great!

11. Tyrant[US] (Legions of the Dead) - The Battle of Armageddon - I wish I could upload a song from their next album, but I only have it in APE format (one big file). But wow, this band should have lived longer than they did. Epic heavy metal at its finest, though their second album is much better than this song and far more darker and moodier. Regardless, this track is great. The vocalist Glen May is astonishing.

12. Wild Dogs[US] (Reign of Terror) - Metal Fuel - Fans of Cacophony, Racer X, and shred-fest filled stuff like that should love this!

There you have it. Really random pack, but I was bored. Let me know if this stuff is fun, and if I should continue making packs like this, or if I'm just wasting my time.

Nobody really posts much in here besides Club.

Edit: Oh, so ADX might be something you'd enjoy because you could understand them.

I have most of their albums and they're pretty awesome.

Also, I went back to listen to some Gamma Ray albums and they still fucking rule.

Like 5000 songs later, hundreds of bands, close to 200 CD's, etc, Gamma Ray still amazes me.

This band ... wow. Ultimate thrash, with some good -clean- vocals! Its not everyday you hear that in thrash. Thrash usually has the riffs, but this band has some of the craziest leads as well.

One of Metallica's members played with them first, but I can't remember who specifically (bassist maybe?)

Anyways: Doomsday for the Deceiver

Im planning on uploading some of my favorite songs to you guys when I get home from Washington. bands like Blind guardian, Luca Turilli, Ensiferium, DIO, and others...

And Xeo, for some reason, I keep thinking the thrash you upload is more like hair metal or something. ( Please correct me if im wrong about that type of music )

Oh MY

GOD

Dude no. Download that song I just uploaded from Flotsam and Jetsam! I'm sure you'd like it. Most of the older 80's thrash I listen too makes power metal look like circus bands. Its aggressive, vocalists always seem terrifyingly awesome (see some of the Laaz Rockit songs I uploaded earlier. Hell, if they had a growling vocalist and didn't alter their music a bit, they'd probably be labeled under death or black metal at times).

Yeah, haha. Thrash is NOT hair metal / glam. Its the polar opposite. Thrash is usually very technical, beyond power metal, and pretty damn catchy.

Just check out that Flots&Jets song I uploaded.

Overkill, Exodus, Heathen, Laaz Rockit, Artillery, Realm, all fall under the genre. Most of those I think I've posted songs for in this thread. You'd probably really like Artillery if you like Grave Digger and whatnot, vocals are somewhat similar and unique.

I got Heathen's first two albums recently too and can't stop listening to them.
Save the Skull (aka fucking forget Metallica's Four Horsemen!, that's me though =O)

Edit: Laaz Rockit Euroshima. Listen to this and you'll probably never confuse thrash with hair metal again.
(they got a little thrashier after this album though, Know Your Enemy)

I already downloaded it and couldent stop headbanging. When I read "Thrash" Im picturing this.

Saw BDM in Concert like a few months back, somewhat enjoyed it, but I couldent understand what the fuck they were saying.

But thats what my friends call "Thrash Metal". XD Its just Georgia talk I suppose.
