First off, this is my first thread in here, and I actually don't even know why I'm making it, except that I could use advice.

Second off, probably none of you know anything about recent events in my social life, so I'll start from the begining.

For about a year now, there has been a girl that I've, well, to put it mildly, liked. but she's been infatuated with another guy, who's wanted a relationship with her for years.

So, because I thought their relationship might not last, and because I was too nice to cause any problems, I let them get on together for a while.

So, about two weeks ago, they broke up. I've been really friends with the girl, and so I was nice and comforting to her, thinking that my chances had increased by now.

Recently, one of the girl's friends borrowed her cell phone, and used it to sent insulting messages to the guy, ruining any chance she might have with him. Upon hearing this, I was crazy enough to volunteer to explain it all to the guy,

So I did that this morning, and in doing so, discovered that he still wanted to be with her, thus ruining almost any chance I had with her. So, that's my life, and I'm feeling irritated at myself. Was I too nice by helping her with him, or should I have not volunteered for it? Or do any of you have an idea to turn this around without making them both have a problem with me?

dude you did the right thing. Besides. Lots of fish in the sea. =P

1. The girl obviously has a lot of drama around her. You don't want to ruin your heart anymore.

2. The guy must be a magnet for drama unlike you.

>.> Does that help a bit?

I gotta agree with True. I'm quite proud of you doing the right thing. If you like her that much, you want to see her happy. Hell, someday she might realize how awesome you were about all of this.

You're young, so don't stress not getting the girl you've been wanting too badly. Eventually when you get older and look back at the feelings you have now, you'd be greatly amused.

What I will say is this: It's not the end of the world.

You helped the girl you like be happy. In turn that should make you happy. I mean, if Heather asked me to help her get together with someone, I'd help.

Also, trying to force yourself upon this girl may have bad consequences, i.e. making the girl stop liking you at all. I HIGHLY doubt you'd risk that.

And as Rogue said, you're young. Like me! No matter if you're rejected. Keep your head up and you'll eventually find the girl for you. ^^
